Chelsea started her career in vet med in 2016 when her passion and love for animals pulled her out of human medicine to share her love for caring and healing animals with people everyday. She started as a vet receptionist and soon discovered her true passion was in the hospital. She started working as a vet assistant at a small general practice and wanted to continue to gain knowledge and experience by transitioning to working in an ER and then in a Neurology department. Chelsea’s true passions brought her to Longmeadow Animal Hospital to share in their growth of caring for animals, healing pets, and creating long lasting relationships in the general practice setting. Chelsea received her RVT certification with on the job training. She has a passion for learning especially when it comes to surgery and ultrasound procedures. She has also gained knowledge in small animal CPR and fear free techniques. On her off time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Joe, daughter Juliette and their 3 dogs Miya (Whipador), Titan (Greyhound), Abby (German Shepherd/Lab Mix). She enjoys being outdoors with friends and family as well as curling up with a good book on the couch. Chelsea always comes to work with a smile and loves to make people laugh. Her love for animals is seen by her care and ability to help pet owners give their loved ones the best possible care.
