Happy Winter!
Burrr…It’s cold outside!! Winter is here in full force. Here are some helpful tips to help you and your pet to get through winter.
• Fleas have decided to stick around a bit longer than normal. Don’t forget to apply your flea/tick preventive to assure no pests for your pets.
• Remember that the salt that we put on our driveways and sidewalks can be dangerous for pets and their paws. They now make a wide array of products that are “pet safe” so make sure your supply has that label.
• Remember that small animals get cold very easily and may not want to spend excessive time outside in the cold. Be sure to get them their playtime inside so they remain active during these winter months.
• Just like the animals can get cold outside, they can get warm inside too. Make sure that your pets are a safe distance between fireplaces and space heaters so they do not get burned.
• Make sure to keep your garage floors free of liquids from your cars. That bright green antifreeze that can leak from your car looks like fun to pets but in fact can be deadly.
